Determining the location.
Once we have set up the time and date for your location, typically through email, I will suggest a location or two that will work well, based on the time of year, and the time of day the session
will be held.
I have many locations in the Rochester and Finger Lakes area that I love shooting at, knowing a location well enhances your session experience, and I can best lead your session. I love exploring, and making the session feel like a little adventure for the children.
And of course, I am open to special requests on locations as well.
What should you wear
I tend to recommend neutral tones, and always suggest coordinating but not matching. Be true to your personal style, and wear what makes you feel great.
You can request a link to a pinterest board where I have pinned many examples of family's coordinating beautifully and styles of clothing that photograph nicely.
Also, I am happy to give feedback as you are planning your clothing. You can email me or text me some of your clothing choices if you would like feedback on what would photograph well.
Have fun with it.
One year you may want to be barefoot, and casual on the beach and the next you may want to be more formal and in an urban location.
I always have a variety of blankets with me to use during your session.
What to expect during your session.
My goal is for your photos session to be completely stress free and fun for the whole family while capturing beautiful photos of your family.
I will guide you and your family through the session, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy the beautiful location and being with your family creating memories. During the session I will capture a combination of candids of the kids playing and talking, snuggling with parents, racing with siblings.
And while I love lots of candids and photos that capture your connection with each other, I also make sure to get portraits of the whole family, siblings together and kids seperately so you have a nice full collection to represent this moment in your lives.
Suggested Do's and Don'ts
Do arrive on time
Do bring snacks and water
Do plan a low key day around your session
Do give yourself plenty of time to get ready
Do have fun and enjoy your family
DO bring wipes to clean up anything on anyones face or hands.
Don't stress, kids can sense it
Don't put pressure on the kiddos
Don't give them negative feedback on their expressions or smiles, we'll get a wide variety of expressions, promise.

What to expect following your session.
Following your session, I will post previews for your family to view on my facebook page if you wish for me to do so. You are welcome to tag yourselves on the images, and to share them with your family and friends.
Within 14 days following your session you will receive a link through email to access your online gallery of your beautifully edited images.
Through the gallery you can order quality prints, share images with family and friends and you have unlimited downloads to your collection.
Clients receive full printing and social media rights to their images.
